Hill Preparatory School is excited to announce a generous donation of a drum set from one of our dedicated parents. This valuable contribution is a significant enhancement to our co-curricular program, particularly our music education, and underscores the strong sense of community support that Hill Prep is known for.

Located in the Naguru suburb of Kampala, Hill Preparatory School is an institution that integrates children with special needs and offers very affordable education services. Founded in 1988, Hill Prep is a novel concept that challenges conventional educational ideas and practices. For 22 years, the school has been dedicated to providing inclusive education, and this mission comes with its own set of challenges, especially in terms of financial sustainability.

Dedicated Staff and Optimal Teacher-to-Pupil Ratio

The school has a dedicated teaching staff of 23, caring for 100 pupils, resulting in an impressive teacher-to-pupil ratio of approximately 1:4. Including the teachers, the total number of staff is 35, all working tirelessly to provide a supportive and effective learning environment for all students. This low ratio ensures that each child receives the individual attention they need to thrive.

Enhancing Our Music Program

The new drum set will significantly enhance our music program, providing students with the opportunity to explore percussion and develop their musical talents. Drumming is an excellent way for students to learn about rhythm, coordination, and teamwork.
